Why do Agents Leave?

Agents leavingEverything seems to be going along well. Agents are working and making a living, then one comes to you and says, "This is really hard for me, but I'm leaving to go to the XYZ company. It's not personal. I like you. It's just a business decision."

It's as if they all read the same script. But WHY?
Why are they leaving?

They leave when they perceive they can better get their needs met somewhere else. It's not a little bit more, to them it seems like a lot more. We know this because real estate agents don't adapt to change very well.

What are the needs that aren't getting met?

Need to feel important
     (XYZ Company is giving away the store to get them to move)
Need to make more money
Need to feel competent and in control
Feel like business robs them of a life
Like the people there, feel isolated here
